Fall at Noble

Last Call, Aging Assistance, Private Sessions Now Open

Fall in our little corner of Connecticut has been spectacular.  Not only have we enjoyed the fiery reds, brilliant oranges, and neon yellows bathing our campus, but we've been treated to an extended Indian summer with warm temps and steady sunshine!  Extra time outdoors for walks and picnics has been welcome, although some worry that winter may exact revenge!

Resident Covid booster vaccinations are complete; staff members receive theirs next week.  Noble is also offering on-campus flu vaccines for all residents and employees.  We intend to remain healthy this winter as we hope you will!

The events calendar continues to fill up; please note the annual Medicare Part D private enrollment sessions offered hourly on November 4 from 9 am-4 pm.  The appointments fill up fast so please don't delay.  We are pleased to report that Suzanne Mazzarelli's free and very popular Therapeutic Movement and Breath class has resumed on Thursdays at 10:30 am.

We hope you are enjoying this lovely season. Please stay well and stay in touch!

Last Call- Medicare Savings

Medicare

"Millions of people are potentially missing out on thousands of dollars of savings and leaving themselves open to nasty surprises about their benefits or health care choices," according to an October 20 AARP article.

Though Medicare recipients can switch plans during the open enrollment period (October 15-December 7) only 10 percent actually do. Make the most of this opportunity with unbiased professionals from the Western CT Area Agency on Aging who have nothing to sell but can help you find the best plan for you! Plans change as can your needs, so register for the Zoom link and learn the facts from the comfort of your home.

Private Part D Appointments

Medicare D

After attending our Medicare info session, schedule a private appointment with a professional who can enroll you in the 2022 Part D prescription drug plan best suited to you.  Because plans change year-to-year, Medicare advises an annual review. Please email or call Caroline (860-435-9851, ext. 190).

Support as You Age

Advocate

Managing the ever-evolving needs that accompany aging can feel overwhelming. Whether navigating Medicare and their Byzantine billing processes, maintaining or downsizing a home, finding the best care for yourself, a spouse or loved one, organizing legal affairs and health directives, managing family communication or coordinating physicians, the demands are significant.

On November 11 at 7 pm join senior advocate Art Mulligan who helps older adults and their families understand and access services, resources, and benefits to ensure successful later-life transitions.
