Noble Living at The COTTAGES

Fifty cottages are situated along the village’s winding roads in a setting that resembles any attractive residential neighborhood.  Village Green cottages are conveniently close to Noble’s hub, Wagner Terrace,  while those in Woods End are a nature lover’s delight.

Our one and  two-bedroom cottages range in size from 745 to 2,250 square feet.  Each includes a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry and has an attached carport.  Many have fireplaces, terraces or screened porches. Monthly rent includes maintenance.

You’ll find congenial neighbors, the opportunity to take advantage of a variety of stimulating programs and the leisure to pursue your own interests.  A pet is more than welcome to move in with you.

"We just love it here, and we’re so glad we made the move when we did. We feel like we’re living in our own house that is just the way we to want it. And we like that Noble is small, so we made friends right away."

Mim & Chris Galligan, Cottage residents

Caroline Wall, a former cottage resident bequeathed funds to establish a program to provide financial assistance to residents wishing to maintain their independence as long as possible.

The Mission of the Caroline Wall Cottage Support Program is to offer programs, activities, support, and resources that promote optimum health and wellness for independent living residents.  The Wall Fund includes a wellness clinic staffed with a full-time nurse, transportation, delivery services, health monitoring, and other services.

Wellness Clinic - located in the lower level of Wagner Terrace, is available to all cottage residents.  Our Wellness Coordinator can act as a liaison between you and your physician if you like, make recommendations for specialty services, and share with you some regular, old-fashioned conversation! We can also coordinate your hospital visits and lab services.

Caregivers Support Group - assisting family caregivers caring for a spouse/loved one.

Fitness Center - located in the lower level of Wagner Terrace, all residents are encouraged to take part in the fitness program - a personal trainer is available Monday through Friday 9 am-Noon.

Coffee Cafe - for all your connectivity needs with free fresh coffee, newspapers and magazines.

Walking Program - offered at the indoor track at Hotchkiss School in winter and the outdoor track during nicer weather every Tuesday & Thursday morning.

Senior Living Community That Transitions With YOUR NEEDS

Meet the chandlers

Both Tina & Rusty remain deeply rooted in our local community. They chose Noble because they wanted to stay in the Lakeville area and be in a senior living community that would be able to transition with their needs.

The Chandlers love the services. Tina noted, “The staff go the extra mile to make you happy. If I was dependent on more of the services right now - and at some point I will be - I can honestly say I feel safer here knowing I’ll be taken care of. As far as Covid, Bill has been wonderful in his communications and has done a great job.”

“We just knew it didn't make any sense at all to move anywhere else when we retired. We didn’t want to start over – Noble was an attractive place to be. It’s intimate, well-run and you have everything you need right here.”

“When it came to making a decision it was easy - Noble was the only place for us, it feels like home.”  Tina & Rusty Chandler, Cottage Residents

What Residents and Family have to say:

While those of us living in the Noble cottages don't have any access to the employees working in Wagner et al, we do get to benefit from the work of some of the grounds crew who religiously pick up our trash and deliver our mail. These tasks are done more than competently, and we are greatly appreciative of the efforts of the maintenance crew who keep Noble Horizons neat and clean. We look forward to warmer weather and the chance to get out on the campus when the virus fears have abated and hopefully have disappeared entirely. At that point I am sure we shall have more access to the entire staff that makes Noble Horizons such a great place.-Rusty Chandler

I had lived quite well for twenty years. That came to an end in the summer of 2020 when a cottage opened up at Noble. One of my first visits came from a CNA who asked if I might need assistance. She was my helper from that day forward to now. Never a better decision in my life. Without this CNA doing what they do so well, I could not have survived so well.  It made Noble a great place to retire. She put the “golden” in what is called my later years. I can happily say “God Bless Her”.  -George Reid

Special thanks imagining ways to keep us cottagers amused and engaged. Parades, cookouts, croquet, all in a time of pandemic. My neighbors and I appreciate all of it.

Recognition and Gratitude-As I am really unfamiliar with the names of the many of the individuals who have been so helpful and distinctly kind to me during my several months of living in a cottage, I certainly wish to congratulate them for their wonderful service to many of us.

My mother, Anne McMahon, was a resident at Noble for 4 years. It is such a wonderful place and as I think about where I would like to live when I no longer want the upkeep of a house, Noble is the first place that comes to mind. I remember that there was quite a long waiting list for the cottages, so I think it might behoove me to add my name now.

Kind regards, Sheila Sawyer
