Jumping July

After celebrating Independence Day, July is underway and the summer season is in full swing. We are keeping busy with BBQs, outdoor enjoyment, gardening, and trips out for lunch and ice cream but we are anticipating much more summer fun to come! The Garden Club has been hard at work keeping up with weeding and will start harvesting soon. We are all looking forward to those fresh picked tomatoes, and we have quite a selection of herbs this year which we will use to put a fresh accent on our meals. We are already planning our cooking lunches around what will be ready in our garden, and we are playing the Eye Spy game daily to see who can come up with the most edible items.

We have many exciting programs and activities coming up that we would love to share with you.  Please read below to find out more information about our events, which feature local young artists, chair yoga, embracing your age, nature foraging, yoga and books, and live concerts.  We also want to let you know that we will be sponsoring a blood drive in August, so please register below and help save a life with your donation.

Following, we'll gather refreshments and snacks and join in a story time circle for all ages. Middle-grade students aged 10+, who have volunteered, will break out into smaller groups to read a chapter from the residents' pre-selected favorite books. Come to our beautiful campus and plan on being outside unless it rains. Bring your own towel, yoga mat, blanket or chair which is ideal for yoga and listening to stories.
