CMS 5 star

Noble Horizons Awarded Prestigious 5-Star Designation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it has again awarded the
rare 5-Star designation to Noble Horizons for the third consecutive quarter. The perfect score
makes Noble Horizons one of the highest rated senior communities in the region and one of
only a select few to be awarded 5-stars in the Eastern New York, Western Massachusetts, or
Western Connecticut region.

CMS utilizes three vital standards of care when calculating their star ratings: staffing, the
quality of care, and data collected from health inspections. Noble Horizons excelled in all three
categories, and most importantly in how much time their Registered Nurses dedicate to each
resident on a daily basis.
“As the Administrator of Noble Horizons,” reflected Bill Pond, ” I’m blessed to be a part of this

organization, to be a part of the steadfast commitment portrayed by each and every team
member who work so hard to continuously meet the expectations outlined by a CMS 5-Star
Rating. In addition to the rigorous standards set forth by the CMS Rating system, our staff
achieved it during a time of a global pandemic which has affected all aspects of our health care
delivery system to date. Despite all of this, we continue to offer the best of care in the safest
environment possible and continue to achieve positive outcomes.

The announcement also introduced important revisions to its Care Compare site, “The Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) launched Care Compare on Medicare.gov that patients
and caregivers can use to make informed decisions about healthcare based on cost, quality of
care, volume of services, and other data. For more than 20 years, Medicare’s online compare
tools have served as the cornerstone for publicizing quality care information for patients,
caregivers, consumers, and the healthcare community,” read CMS’ September 3, 2020 release.
