Sumi Ink Painting – “Four Gentlemen”

Noble Horizons is hosting a series of classes in Sumi Ink Painting presented by Hannah Jung.  Hannah will introduce a basic approach to the techniques of Sumi Ink Painting through the theme of “Four Gentlemen” with step-by-step instructions and demonstrations. She will also share the noble characters of the Four Gentlemen along with arts and cultural backgrounds of ancient China in this class. Through the practice of techniques and exercises, students will learn East-Asian traditional aesthetics of simplicity as well as the essential expression of objects.

Classes will be held on Wednesdays, June 5, 12, 19 & 26th (2 – 4:30 pm) in the Learning Center.
