Celebrating noble nurses!

It's Nurses Week and we are celebrating!

Nurses Week gives us the opportunity to pause and recognize some of the people who make Noble Horizons feel so special.

The nurses who know residents by name. The ones who notice the little things. The calm voices, familiar faces, and steady presence that residents and families come to rely on every day.

At Noble, nursing is deeply personal, and behind every nurse is a story worth sharing.

For Jacqueline Fitzpatrick, nursing was not her first career. She spent twelve years as a teacher before working as a CNA with older adults, an experience that changed the direction of her life. She returned to school to become a nurse and found herself drawn to caring for the elderly population, describing residents as “endearing.” What stands out most to Jacqueline about Noble is the culture of kindness. “There’s a lot of kindness in the Noble family,” she shared, noting how staff genuinely care not only for residents, but for each other as well.

Lynn Famiglietti has been part of the Noble community for six years. Her reason for becoming a nurse was simple - she wanted to help people, especially those who may not always have someone there for them. Over the years, she has found that same spirit of support inside Noble itself. To Lynn, Noble feels like family, a place where people step in for each other, support one another, and create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the campus.

Melanie Jamieson’s interest in nursing started when she was very young. As a child, she was fascinated by the image of a nurse, but it wasn’t until she began working as a CNA that she truly understood the importance of the profession. Through nursing, she found a meaningful way to combine technical skill with compassion and provide comfort during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Melanie says one of the things she loves most about Noble is the strong sense of community, both on campus and beyond it, where residents, families, staff, and visitors often feel deeply connected.

Elizabeth Gardner brings 37 years of nursing experience to Noble Horizons. Nursing is part of her family history, with both her mother and grandmother also working as nurses. “Once a nurse, always a nurse,” she shared. Even after nearly four decades in the profession, Elizabeth says her focus remains the same - helping people and being their advocate. Though she has only recently joined Noble, she was immediately struck by the strong community atmosphere and level of involvement throughout campus life.

Together, these stories say a great deal about life at Noble Horizons. The care here goes far beyond routines and responsibilities. It’s built through relationships, trust, compassion, and the small moments that help residents feel comfortable and families feel confident in the people caring for their loved ones.

During Nurses Week, we are proud to celebrate the nurses of Noble Horizons and thank them for the extraordinary care, kindness, and dedication they bring to this community every day.
