Salisbury, CT —It can be a difficult and confusing task to assess, compare and understand the nuances of senior living communities. On Monday, May 4, 2020, that decision was made easier for families across the region. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a federal agency that administers Medicare and works with state governments to administer Medicaid, awareded Noble Horizons, a senior care, rehabilitation and retirement community in Salisbury, CT, its rare and coveted 5-star rating for the second consecutive quarter.
“I am honored to announce that Noble Horizons has again earned the prestigious 5-star rating from the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services,” said Noble Horizons’ administrator William Pond. “Such a distinction truly embodies our steadfast commitment to meeting the highest standards of care – especially during these very difficult times. The Noble Horizons team is second to none! And I salute their expertise and unwavering devotion to safeguarding the health and safety of every Noble resident. Our mission has hever been clearer, nor meant so much to so many.”
Since 1972, Noble Horizons has been a leader in senior living, pioneering the continuing care concept in the tri-state region. The perfect score makes Noble Horizons one of the highest rated senior communities in the region and one of only a select few to be awarded 5-stars in the Eastern New York, Western Massachusetts, or Western Connecticut region.
CMS utilizes three vital standards of care when calculating their star ratings: staffing, the quality of care, and data collected from health inspections. Noble Horizons excelled in all three categories, and most importantly in how much time their Registered Nurses dedicate to each resident on a daily basis. “Noble Horizons provides the best care to be found in our area,” says Pond.. “To have all of our efforts recognized by the federal government is a major accomplishment for everyone here, but most of all it serves as a benefit for our residents as a result of our staff’s dedication and expertise.”
