Fifteen local elementary school students and a similar number of Noble Horizons residents had the good luck to work with seasoned theater professional Michael Berkeley for several weeks to prepare for a performance of “The Golden Age of Broadway: Bridging Generations” for a very appreciative audience at Noble on April 28. It turned out to be a rollicking afternoon as the performers, young and old, put their all into showcasing some of the most memorable tunes from thirteen Broadway shows, with both students and Noble residents taking featured parts.
The workshops, the brainchild of Pamela Chassin, were funded by a grant on behalf of Region 1 Schools. The project was made possible by the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development Office of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
