CMS 5 star

Noble Horizons, for Seventh Consecutive Quarter, Receives Prestigious 5-Star Designation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

(May 6, 2021) The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced today that it has awarded the rare 5-Star designation to Noble Horizons for the seventh consecutive quarter. The announcement also coincides with the celebration of National Nurse’s Day. The perfect score makes Noble Horizons one of the highest rated senior communities in the region, one of only a select few to be awarded 5-stars, and one of even fewer who has managed to retain the designation for over the past year in the Eastern New York, Western Massachusetts, or Western Connecticut region.

CMS utilizes three vital standards of care when calculating their star ratings: staffing, the quality of care, and data collected from health inspections. Noble Horizons excelled in all three categories, and most importantly in how much time their Registered Nurses dedicate to each resident on a daily basis.

“What a perfect day to receive this exciting news. Not only do we get to celebrate our amazing nursing staff on National Nurse’s Day, but also the continued excellence by everyone involved in retaining this prestigious designation. I’m very proud of all the staff here at Noble Horizons,” reflected Bill Pond, “Our staff continuously works hard to meet the rigorous expectations outlined by a CMS 5-Star Rating in addition to keeping Noble COVID free – which we’ve managed to do from the start of the pandemic. Their hard work and dedication every single day never ceases to amaze me. “

CMS recently launched Care Compare on Medicare.gov which allows patients and caregivers access to information to make informed decisions about healthcare based on cost, quality of care, volume of services, and other data.

Noble Horizons, a non-profit senior living community located on 110-wooded and landscaped acres in Salisbury, Connecticut, offers short term and outpatient rehabilitation, cottage and apartment-style accommodations, skilled nursing, and memory care.  It has been a leader in senior healthcare since its founding in 1972 and has remained COVID-free. More information is available at www.noblehorizons.org or 860-435-9851.
