As we near the end of May and are gearing up for the Memorial Day weekend, we have witnessed so much joy and celebrating times that we would like to share with you our special memories. We started the month off with a festive celebration on Cinco de Mayo with residents and staff wearing sombreros and making homemade guacamole. The decorations provided by the Recreation Department were as genuine as the smiles on the faces of those participating. What a fiesta it was! Our resident garden club started to plan for the upcoming harvest and was hard at work with their new raised garden boxes crafted by our very own Maintenance Department. These easily accessible boxes have brightened the spirts of the residents who would be unable to participate if our gardens were like our own at home. We can't forget our dedicated nurses! We celebrated nurse's week with a special BBQ and showered them with gifts for all the hard work and compassion they provide to our Noble community. We are grateful for all they do for our residents and families to make us all feel comfortable and at ease with a team-centered approach. Thank you to all nurses out there who provided this same comfort. With the beauty that surrounds us on our serine campus, we all have been enjoying as much outdoor time as we can. Weekly golf cat rides, out trips to local eateries, and strolling along our beautiful grounds to see what's blooming has filled our days. This is a magical time of year; you just never know what you might see on your daily walk. We have several exciting programs and activities on the calendar that we are happy to share with our local community. Please join us for one or all of our many upcoming events that we have planned for you.

We are very excited to announce that for the first time, Noble Horizons will be hosting the upcoming National Cancer Survivors Day. This is not only for people who have survived the disease but also people who have been there to support their loved ones and friends through the process. This is a way to get together to share your experiences, offer support, and find outreach programs that could be helpful in the recovery process. This is a free event that will offer food from local business such as Labonne's, Deano's, and Talk of the Towne and a chance to win raffle baskets from The Black Rabbit, Salisbury Garden Center and The White Hart Inn and many more. Our keynote speaker will be our very own Cancer Survivor and exceptional Volunteer Mary Barton and will offer musical stylings from Deirdre Broderick. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation describes this event as, "a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community." Please join us to celebrate in this truly exceptional event and support the outreach programs they provide.
