Amelia Smith, a Hotchkiss senior from Millerton, NY is a dog trainer who has shown and won awards at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in addition to being a certified pet therapist and pet therapy trainer.
During her Noble visit last week, she stopped by Agnes Nowicki’s room who eagerly welcomed Amelia and her dog, Diesel, a Norwich Terrier. Amelia noticed a Hotchkiss chair in Agnes’ room and told Agnes that she was a Hotchkiss student. Agnes was overjoyed as her husband had been such a long time, loyal Hotchkiss employee that when retired, he was presented with the chair. Her husband is now deceased, but when Agnes had to select the few possessions she could bring with her to Noble, she chose the chair.
