Time: 2:00-3:30
Location: Learning Center
Have you been wanting to put memories, thoughts, and impressions from your life into stories – for friends, family or “just” for yourself? Rummaging through, organizing, and then expressing the details in words is tough; but sometimes the hardest part is simply getting started! While at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, Marilyn Gross conducted Life Story Writing classes in the Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning for area residents age 62+and wants to share her talents for writing with you. In this informative, welcoming, and supportive 3-part workshop we’ll explore ways to uncover and organize memories and turn them into stories we want to remember and be remembered by. Please bring whatever “tools” you feel most comfortable with whether pen and paper, laptop, iPad, or voice recorder. Not only will you have the chance to ask questions or suggestions, but you’ll also receive lists of online and hard-copy sources of additional information to help guide you in telling the stories of your life.
