Noble Horizons, a renowned senior living community nestled in the picturesque Northwest corner of Connecticut, is proud to announce the appointment of Bill Thompson as the new President & CEO of Church Homes Inc, the parent company of Noble Horizons. Mr. Thompson assumed his new role in early February following the retirement of longtime CEO Patrick Gilland.
A Connecticut native, Mr. Thompson's journey to healthcare administration began in Derby, where he grew up and attended Derby High School. He then pursued his passion for hospitality management at the University of New Haven, majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After graduation, he embarked on a career in food service management, honing his skills in various roles, including fast food manager and hospital food service director.
Mr. Thompson's transition to healthcare administration occurred in 1993 when he obtained his administrator's license. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his dedicated service to the senior living community. His experience and expertise led him to join Church Homes Inc in July 2016, where he served as the Administrator and Vice President before assuming his current position.
In a recent interview, Mr. Thompson shared his vision for Noble Horizons, emphasizing his commitment to making the facility successful and addressing staffing challenges to enable the opening of more beds. He highlighted the importance of leadership qualities such as management by walking around, leading by example, and being willing to do what he asks of others.
"I am honored to lead Church Homes Inc and Noble Horizons into the future," Mr. Thompson expressed. "I look forward to working closely with our staff, residents, and the community to continue providing exceptional care and services.
