Riga Residence is dedicated to those residents who require 24-hour nursing care. With a highly professional nursing staff working closely with our medical director, Riga residents are given individual attention and participate in a number of activities in the Wickman Room, a large and bright common room. Riga's spacious private rooms with half-bath are carpeted and have large windows overlooking lawns and gardens.
The Whitridge Wing is a separate area where residents who require memory support are cared for in a peaceful atmosphere and are encouraged to take part in activities that are pleasant reminders of their earlier lives. Both private and semi-private rooms are available and common rooms, including Whitridge Dining Room and its adjoining enclosed patio, are light-filled and cheerful.
Whitridge is home to the Snoezelen (SNOOZ-a-lin) Room, an innovative multi-sensory environmental therapy, which has been observed to decrease pain, improve the overall sense of well-being, reduce feelings of sadness and fear, and improve sleep habits. Incorporating aromatherapy, fiber optics, projected images, and calming music or nature sounds that can be enjoyed regardless of physical or cognitive ability.
Noble's Namaste (NA-ma-stay) program provides very special care to those residents in the late or final stages of dementia. Namaste is a Hindi word expressing a wish to honor the spirit within. The key elements of Namaste care at Noble are gentleness and individual attention, providing each resident with emotional and physical comfort throughout the day. Namaste care is entirely resident-centered in a secluded, serene environment where every activity is an opportunity for meaningful interaction between the resident and his or her care partner.
"Since I've been a resident of Noble Horizons I have experienced a wide range of activities and excursions to museums and performances. The variety stimulates an aging population and is made possible by an outstanding staff."
- Jeanette Hingston, Cobble resident
