Navigating Your Retirement Years

On Wednesday, December 5, from 11am-noon, Jennifer Labrie, HS-BCP Resource Coordinator, Hartford Healthcare Center for Healthy Aging at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital will present “Navigating Your Retirement Years.”
Guests will learn about the varying levels of care available, types of housing, funding sources and resources in the community. She will discuss the many advantages of proactively preparing for retirement and how to access the assistive services available throughout the region.
Labrie was the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter's Helpline Director/Northwest Regional Director 10 years. In that role she assessed the needs of people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias; she coordinated services, educated families and advocated on their behalf.
As the Coordinator of Hartford HealthCare's Center for Healthy Aging at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, she connects seniors and caregivers with the most-appropriate resources and support systems to achieve the optimum quality of life. This includes free comprehensive assessments -- in-home, by phone and in the office -- to determine the best level and type of care that may incorporate in-home assistance, medical alert technology, home modifications, state programs and veteran's services.
Registration for the program is below or by calling 860-435-9851.
