Master Aging!

Make the years ahead of you your best years!  If you are 55 or over and would like to navigate a longer, healthier, more fulfilling life, Noble Horizons and the CT Healthy Living Collective invite you to join the the National Council on Aging's innovative ten-week series, the Aging Mastery Program® (AMP).  AMP encourages the development and mastery of sustainable behaviors that lead to improved health, stronger economic security, enhanced well-being, and increased societal participation. The series runs weekly on Thursdays from March 28 through May 30, from 10:30 am-noon and is followed by a complimentary light lunch.

Americans are living longer lives and AMP provides the tools to embrace this gift of longevity by spending more time each day doing things that will improve health, financial security and overall well-being.   Class members will receive engaging materials and enjoy expert speakers, interactive activities, group discussion, peer support and small rewards to achieve measurable results.  Participants cite the empowering and sustainable changes the series helps them adopt; topics include navigating longer lives, physical activity, sleep, healthy eating and hydration, financial fitness, medication management, advanced planning, healthy relationships, fall prevention and community engagement.  

The Aging Mastery Program is coordinated by Connecticut Community Care and sponsored in part by the Connecticut Community Foundation and Anthem. Space is limited and registration is required at  860-435-9851.

The ancient Chinese martial arts practices of tai chi and qi gong (pronounced CHEE-gung) combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises that can help your circulation, balance, and alignment. They can also help restore your energy, called chi or qi (pronounced "chee").
