Hotchkiss School Instructor Carita Gardiner Teaches Pulitzer Prize-Winning Novel - July 21

Beginning on July 7, Hotchkiss School instructor Carita Gardiner will partner with Noble Horizons to offer a "virtual book club"  in which participants will read the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Less, by Andrew Sean Greer.   Less was a national bestseller, and on the New York Times, Washington Post and San Francisco Chronicle top book lists for 2017.  While telling the satirical story of a struggling novelist traveling the world to avoid an awkward wedding, it offers a rumination on time and the human heart.  Christopher Buckley wrote in The New York Times Book Review, "It's no less than bedazzling, bewitching and be-wonderful."

Gardiner is a former Chair of the Hotchkiss School English Department and holds a B.A., from Amherst College, an M.Ed. from Harvard University, and an M.A. from Middlebury College.  The free classes meet via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 am through July 23.  Registration and a zoom link are below.

DUE for first class on July 7: "Less at First"
DUE for second class on July 9: "Less Mexican"
DUE for third class on July 14: "Less Italian" and "Less German"
DUE for fourth class on July 16: "Less French"
